This includes projects for the preservation and promotion of Kanazawa's traditional performing arts, as well as research and restoration projects related to ethnographic materials. Here, we introduce the projects we have implemented so far, along with photos.<\/p>\n\n\n    <ul class=\"record_list\">\n                    <li class=\"record_item\">\n                <div class=\"record_thumb\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/renew_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/thumb_geigi.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/div>\n                <div class=\"record_title\">Geigi Introduction Video Production Project<\/div>\n                <div class=\"record_term\"><span>Implementation period:<\/span>FY2012-FY2014, FY2025-<\/div>\n                <p>To showcase the charm of Kanazawa's Geigi, we produced a video introducing the appeal of Kanazawa Geigi, who are the practitioners of \"Kanazawa Subayashi.\" The video features the Geigi themselves sharing the charm of being a Kanazawa Geigi, as well as showcasing the traditional skills passed down in the tea districts.<\/p>\n                <div class=\"record_btn\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yokohama-bunka.jp\/en\/record\/geigi_movie\/\" class=\"linkbtn\">Click for more information<\/a><\/div>\n            <\/li>\n                    <li class=\"record_item\">\n                <div class=\"record_thumb\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/renew_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/thunmb-1.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/div>\n                <div class=\"record_title\">Kanazawa Geigi Interview Documentation Project<\/div>\n                <div class=\"record_term\"><span>Implementation period:<\/span>2022 to 2023<\/div>\n                <p>To promote \"Kanazawa Subayashi,\" we conducted interviews with the Geigi community, the practitioners of this traditional art. Through their own words, they share insights into their work, the appeals of Subayashi, and their thoughts on preserving traditional culture.<\/p>\n                <div class=\"record_btn\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yokohama-bunka.jp\/en\/record\/geigi_interview\/\" class=\"linkbtn\">Click for more information<\/a><\/div>\n            <\/li>\n                    <li class=\"record_item\">\n                <div class=\"record_thumb\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/renew_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/img01-1.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/div>\n                <div class=\"record_title\">Awagasaki Hachiman Shrine Ema Preservation and Maintenance Project<\/div>\n                <div class=\"record_term\"><span>Implementation period:<\/span>1995 to 1999<\/div>\n                <p>The Awagasaki Hachiman Shrine, located near a prominent port for the Kitamaebune (Northern Ships), was highly revered by ship owners and ship captains. The shrine holds numerous ema (votive pictures) donated by these Kitamaebune ship owners, which are of great historical value. The project provided funding for the preservation and restoration of these valuable ship-themed ema.<\/p>\n                <div class=\"record_btn\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yokohama-bunka.jp\/en\/record\/ema_preservation\/\" class=\"linkbtn\">Click for more information<\/a><\/div>\n            <\/li>\n                    <li class=\"record_item\">\n                <div class=\"record_thumb\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/renew_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/img01-5.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/div>\n                <div class=\"record_title\">Folk Materials Restoration Grant Project<\/div>\n                <div class=\"record_term\"><span>Implementation period:<\/span>1995 to 1999<\/div>\n                <p>Assistance was provided for the preservation and restoration of folk materials and other items of historical and cultural value held by temples, shrines, and similar institutions.<\/p>\n                <div class=\"record_btn\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yokohama-bunka.jp\/en\/record\/repair\/\" class=\"linkbtn\">Click for more information<\/a><\/div>\n            <\/li>\n                    <li class=\"record_item\">\n                <div class=\"record_thumb\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/renew_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/img01.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/div>\n                <div class=\"record_title\">Three Ryotei Association Office Improvement Grant Project<\/div>\n                <div class=\"record_term\"><span>Implementation period:<\/span>1992 to 1993<\/div>\n                <p>Kanazawa's three chaya districts continue to pass down their vibrant Kanazawa's chaya culture. The \"Kenban\" in these districts serves as an important place where Geigi gather regularly to refine their skills. A portion of the restoration work for these aging buildings was funded, allowing them to be revitalized as hubs for the preservation and transmission of traditional culture.<\/p>\n                <div class=\"record_btn\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yokohama-bunka.jp\/en\/record\/office_maintenance\/\" class=\"linkbtn\">Click for more information<\/a><\/div>\n            <\/li>\n                    <li class=\"record_item\">\n                <div class=\"record_thumb\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/renew_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/thunmb.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/div>\n                <div class=\"record_title\">Jiz\u014dson Folklore Research Project<\/div>\n                <div class=\"record_term\"><span>Implementation period:<\/span>1991 to 1995<\/div>\n                <p>This project was organized to pass down the origin and legends of Jiz\u014dson to future generations.
